Who knows, then
and how, maybe
animals
imagine
death
with their darkened eyes,
from their shivers,
with their teeth and fears
their half-lighteous looks

(maybe they are free
from such a
nuisance, maybe they
don’t have it, they smell
and defend it)

maybe a protection
of the heart detaches
them, envelops them
and tames all questions?

Who knows what high
jumps and wide dives
what vertigo and other
colours and imaginations
who knows what acrobatic
white black dreams, reds
