My belly is a sea

by Sonia Secchi

My belly is a sea
where alabaster fetuses swim -
tiny pillars of salt.
At night
lunar desires swim -
fruitful with sea foam
and lemon.

Nervous legs get lost
in the darkness
of depths -
voluptuous seaweeds glued
to the ankles, the hips.

It is painful to resurface -
violaceous octopus
hit against the rock.

My pubescent skin
too white
too small
me
all inside -

this blue.
