MEMORY

Founded in 1965 in the province of Reggio Emilia, Istoreco is part of a national network of institutes established with the aim of protecting and enhancing the documentary heritage and the memories of both the Italian war of Liberation and of the Twentieth Century as a whole.
For a long time Istoreco has been carrying on activities of research, preservation of documents, spreading of contemporary history and handing down memories.
Istoreco is a non-profit association of individuals, institutions (municipalities, provinces, etc.) and private associations.
Nowadays it offers the following services:
•    Historical Researches
•    Consulting service for students
•    History education and awareness for adults
•    In-school workshops on history
•    Continuing education for teachers
•    Juvenile policies concerning antifascism and the fight against racism
•    European projects in collaboration with partner institutions in several European countries
